Cross posted from Metro Matters

The defending Western Division Champs are ready to storm the American League and take the 2026 AL Pennant! If you’re ready to join the Seattle Mariners on their quest, leave the car and home and let transit take you to T-Mobile Park this season.
Home Run champ Cal Raleigh, Cy Young candidates Bryan Woo and Logan Gilbert and Juliooooo Rodríguez take the field on Thursday, March 26 against the Cleveland Guardians. It’s the first of 81 games that will bring Tigers, Bears (well Chicago Cubs) and two varieties of Reds (Boston and Cincinnati) to T-Mobile –and of course the Toronto Blue Jays, the team that broke our hearts. Add Western Division rivals Houston and Texas and there’s plenty of reasons to make your way to SODO for some summer fun.
Pack your glove—and some warm clothes for the first couple of weeks—but keep your land vehicle “anchored” at home. Getting to T-Mobile Park using transit can be as easy as J-Rod nailing a runner at home from center field!
Don’t get caught off base, map out your route
King County Metro’s one-stop shop has everything you need to take transit to the game.
- Start your game day by planning your trip to the game. To plan the best route, use Metro’s online Trip Planner or call Metro Customer Service at 206-553-3000 weekdays, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Don’t forget to press 1 for an interpreter.
- Once you’re at your bus stop, you can use Text for Departures (text your bus stop number to 62550) to see when your bus is expected.
- Also, don’t forget to sign up for Transit Alerts for your favorite routes to help you keep your eye on the ball on game day.
- This season, Metro Route 21 will be detoured post-game for all Mariner games to help with traffic around T-Mobile.
- There will still be an extra post-game trip on the RapidRide D Line so you’ll have company if you want to talk about that great throw from Cal to pick off the runner trying to steal second!
We also have travel maps that can help ensure you won’t “strike out” as you make your way into Pioneer Square.
Hop on the train to get to the game
Once upon a time, teams used to “ride the rails” to get to games. Link light rail is a nod to that tradition. If you’re coming from south King County, north Seattle or from the Eastside, Link light rail is an awesome connection to T-Mobile.
Saturday, March 28 – two days after the start of the season – Sound Transit’s 2 Line begins service, taking fans between the Eastside and T-Mobile Park. Fans will be able to board 2 Line trains at International District/Chinatown Station to travel to the Eastside.
Link will bring you from Lynnwood, Federal Way or Redmond to a short walk, roll or scoot to home plate! Metro is a great “double play” combo with routes that will connect you to the light rail stops along the 1 and 2 Lines.
Land Ho! Be a true “Mariner” by traveling the waves to games

Getting ready to set sail!
Relax before the game by riding the King County Water Taxi over to downtown and make the walk, roll, or scoot from Pier 50 to T-Mobile. For the second season in a row, fans coming from Vashon for afternoon games can use the water taxi to get to and from games (if the game doesn’t go into extra innings).
Remember, Water Taxi service ends for both West Seattle and Vashon at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. But don’t worry, after the game, take a stroll back to Alaskan Way S. at S. Jackson St. and catch a bus back to West Seattle, with the RapidRide C Line (which connects with the Washington State Ferry to Vashon), the RapidRide H Line or other routes. Water Taxi riders should also be on the lookout for special weeknight service for some games—details on those trips will come later this spring.
As summer heats up, West Seattle fans will be able to take the water taxi to West Seattle on Friday and Saturday nights, and Vashon fans can ride the waves on Saturday afternoons to catch a game under the sun!
How to pay:
You don’t want to miss a pitch, do you? Then have your card ready! ORCA has launched its new Tap to Pay feature allowing riders to use credit and debit cards and digital wallets to pay for transit across the Puget Sound region.
If you’re a professional rider, you already have your ORCA Card to help keep things moving. If you want to use your mobile device to pay your fare, download the Transit GO Ticket app on your mobile device prior to boarding. Your personal ORCA card can be added to your Google Wallet on Android devices so you can tap your phone to pay your fare.
If you ride the bus to the game, the adult fare is $3, but we have several options that can reduce your fare.
With an ORCA Card, that $3 fare will let you transfer between bus and light rail.
Water Taxi fare for adults to West Seattle is $6.25 one way ($5.25 with an ORCA card). Fares to Vashon are $7 for adults ($6 with an ORCA card).
Link light rail fare is $3 per trip. A $6 ORCA day pass added to your card lets you travel all day for the price of two fares.
Junior Mariners 18 years and under ride most transit systems for free!
Grab your Cracker Jack, sunflower seeds, wasabi peas and peanuts, save room for ballpark nachos and sushi and head to the ballyard!
TRIDENTS UP! We look forward to bringing you to all of the excitement of Mariners Baseball this season!!

The Moose is ready. Join him on your trip to T-Mobile!
