We asked customers that question in this short video hosted by our interns, Julia and Hannah.  They set out to hear directly from passengers as our ridership continues to grow.

Whether commuting or sightseeing, riders aboard the King County Water Taxi enjoy the convenience, the scenery, and the freedom to not have to drive in traffic.

The water taxi can be a relaxing way to start the day, as it makes the 10- or 20-minute trip from West Seattle or Vashon Island. As one customer put it, “to be able to take a boat to work and appreciate the beauty of our environment — it’s so unique and special.”

If you’re headed to see the Mariners, Seahawks or Sounders play, the water taxi also can be a convenient way to get to games.  The best part: You won’t have to worry about finding a place to park.
