This Veterans Day, King County Water Taxi would like to extend a special “thank you” to everyone who has served and sacrificed on our nation’s behalf.
Veterans Day has special meaning for us because several members of our family are current or former members of the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard. Every day, they exhibit the expertise, leadership and integrity they showed while in uniform to better serve you, our riders. They are:
- Neal Amaral, Captain, Coast Guard
- Esbert Burton, Marine Information Agent, Navy
- Chad Wiesenfeld, Deckhand, Coast Guard
- Nick Williams, Deckhand, Coast Guard
Thank you, again, for your service.
No service Friday, Nov. 10
As a reminder, the Vashon Island and West Seattle routes of the King County Water Taxi will not be in service on Friday, Nov. 10, for Veterans Day (observed). Service on both routes resumes Monday, Nov. 13.
METRO operating on reduced schedule
You can take the bus instead of the boat to get around on Friday. King County Metro will operate on a reduced weekday schedule on some routes on Veterans Day, Nov. 10. Reduced weekday service offers more service than on weekends, but somewhat less service than on normal weekdays. For more information, click here.
