Fun fact: Six U.S. presidents have served in uniform for the Navy or Naval Reserve.

The first was John F. Kennedy (Lieutenant, Navy). The most recent was George H.W. Bush (Lieutenant-Junior Grade, Naval Reserve).

This Presidents Day, we here at the King County Water Taxi thank our nation’s commanders in chief who protected our country in a maritime capacity.
