The air is crisp, the leaves are changing colors and the days are getting shorter – all signs that the King County Water Taxi is approaching the start of its winter sailing schedule on the West Seattle route!
The schedule starts Monday, Oct. 29 and ends March 28, 2019.
The winter sailing schedule means vessels will run only Monday through Friday during commute periods. There will be no weekend sailings or extended evening service on weekdays.

Note: When the Alaskan Way Viaduct closes for three weeks in January, as part of the construction for the SR 99 tunnel, the Water Taxi will release an enhanced schedule for the West Seattle route. For more information, visit the Washington State Department of Transportation’s #Realign99 website.
The sailing schedule for the Vashon Island route remains the same.
Will there be extended service after the seahawk game tomorrow night.
Liera – thank you for the question. The Water Taxi is operating on its winter commute-only schedule on the West Seattle route, so unfortunately we are unable to provide service for tomorrow night’s game.
Thanks for thinking of us and enjoy the game! Go Hawks!!
