Perfect sailing weather: Ride the West Seattle Water Taxi during the holiday and All-Star Weekend

The weather is right and there are events all through the warm nights on the Seattle waterfront and the West Seattle Junction. It’s time to ride with the West Seattle Water Taxi! The West Seattle Water Taxi is in the midst of its summer schedule, with late night sailings on Friday and Saturday.

Holiday Travel: For the Independence Day holiday, the West Seattle Water Taxi will be running on its Sunday schedule. There will be no Vashon service on July 4.

Fun in the Sun: Take the taxi from Seacrest Dock in West Seattle and see the lights of downtown in the glow of sunset. Go from Pier 50 to West Seattle and ride the free Water Taxi shuttle. Take a trip to the West Seattle junction on Route 773 or use the Route 775 to go along Alki and to the Admiral District.

All Star Sailing: Making your plans to go to all the festivities around the 93rd MLB All-Star Game? Remember the Water Taxi runs late on Friday and Saturday. And for the days leading up to the All-Star Game, the West Seattle Water Taxi is adding late night sailings!

Going to Play Ball Park at Lumen Field on Sunday, July 9? Planning on watching J-Rod take a ball out of T-Mobile during the Home Run Derby on Monday, July 10? Do you have a ticket to the game on Tuesday, July 11? Leave the car at home and ride the Water Taxi to the fun!

How much does it cost to travel by Water Taxi? Adult fare is $5.75 one way ($5 with an ORCA card). And remember riders 18 and younger can ride the Water Taxi, and most regional transit, for free! Customers with lower incomes, seniors, and people with disabilities can now apply for an ORCA Regional Reduced Fare Permit (RRFP) card using the new Reduced Fare Portal.
