This morning, we kicked off a celebration of 10 years of the King County Water Taxi service with King County Executive Dow Constantine, King County Councilmember Joe McDermott, Washington State Ferries Assistant Secretary Amy Scarton, and Federal Transportation Administration’s Deputy Regional Director Ken Feldman, along with 100+ other friends and partners involved in the new passenger-only ferry terminal at Pier 50.
Thanks to the brand new terminal, event attendees were sheltered from the rain and we partied in style, complete with cookies, coffee, coasters made out of wood pilings, and water taxi boat floaty toys.
The gloomy weather today has us already longing for those scenic sunrises/sunsets and city skylines best seen from aboard the water taxi.
